Celebrating local children

The Matthew Jones Award: Children's Art Sydney is a new competition and exhibition that celebrates the creative spirit of children at primary schools in the Woollahra Council locality. Local children are invited to enter this exciting competition through their school. Winners will receive a special art-themed prize package while schools will be gifted with generous cash prizes.

A special art show will be open to members of the public on 13 and 14 November 2009 at the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation, where the art will be on sale. All monies raised will be gifted to children's disability arts programmes.

Whether aged five or 85, able bodied or disabled, art, its execution and its appreciation is something that can be enjoyed by all. The Matthew Jones Award: Children's Art Sydney asks local primary school children to let their imaginations take flight and for us all to enjoy the ride.
